Working on a feature shooting 4:3 2.8K 2880 X 2160 for 2K Anamorphic @ 23.976 fps.
Production is using Samsung T5 SSDs for shuttle drives. When I copy the sound files to my RAID in WIn10 I see the speed at 300Megs Sec. or so. When I copy the ALEXA Mini footage it slows down to 22 Megs Sec. So it is taking close to 4 Hours to offload 450 Gigs. Also very slow on the Mac.
At first I thought perhaps the drive is bad. So tried to copy to a different SSD FROM my fast RAID storage and got the same 22 Megs Sec speed.
Is there something I can do to speed up data transfer? The footage was transferring faster from an old usb drive.
thanks

Hi Jan
Problem Solved!
Turns out the new cables I got from Best Buy are crap! Don't but the Insignia branded cables!
I switched back to a cable that came with the Samsung T5 drive and was back to 430 Megs Sec. That one is pretty short so now I need to find a 1 meter cable that has the speed I need.
Onward!
