I have a question concerning the Alexa and the Alexa Mini cameras:
I have to shoot a Tv series. The company asks me to deliver a 16:9 4K UHD (3840X2160)
I know I can shoot in sensor mode 16:9 3,2K (3200X1800) and set the camera to do an in-camera processing 1,2x up-sample to the UHD output resolution of 3840X2160.
My question is: can I shoot open gate sensor mode (target aspect ratio 1,78:1 this is: 3414X1920) and have the camera do the up-sample to UHD recorded in Pro-Res 4444 XQ?
Thank you for your help

Dear Andreu,
unfortunately that is not possible. Open Gate is an ARRIRAW format and does not offer an internal upscale-path to UHD.
Using the 3.2K mode as you wrote is the only option to achieve this in-camera.
Cheers,
Jan
