Hi,
I'm one of the early buyer of the Arri Amira and i'm still in love with this camera.
I work with several lenses like PL Mount Primes or B4 lenses and of course with Canon EF Foto Lenses (28-70)
A few days ago i tested the Varicam LT and i was absolutly excited about the Iris lens control of this camera.
There are no clicks and you can adjust the iris very smooth.
The second thing which was really great is the handgrip. I noted this as a big need for the amira very often but since they released the camera there a very less hardware updates for users with ef lenses.
The handgrip from the Varicam LT is not that good because the user buttons are on worst places. But the little jogwheel to adjust the iris while u are shooting handheld is great. Whenn u press the little wheel u switch between auto iris and manual, very nice too.
Dear developing team from Arri. Please have a look at the iris control of the Varicam LT for EF Lenses, and please think about a handgrip with a little wheel to adjust the iris and some user buttons for Magnification and Aperture control.
best regards
Paul

Could not agree more. I posted in another area about the need for IS and long lens support. Anyone who has ever tried to shoot run and gun with EF lenses knows how challenging it is to change iris live. Also on many lenses the iris begins to jump if you try to change it too fast. A handgrip with magnification, start stop, and iris would really be a game changer for both this and the mini. Please look at both the Varicam and Canon offerings for hand grips and let us know if this is something possible in the future.
