When I boot on my Amira, the temperature on my sensor reads "Critical" for about 2-3 minutes. It balances out to "OK". Is this a early warning sign? Thanks for any info.

Hi Justin,

the thermal management kicks in when the camera is starting up, so it's normal to get a short warning.
2 to 3 minutes, however, is not normal. Please have your camera checked at service!

Thanks for the fast reply Oliver.

The camera was serviced by ARRI last month before it was sold to me. It was checked out to be ok, but I wanted to make sure this was normal.

I clocked it and at 1:43 it goes to off target and at 4:16 it says OK. Not sure if thats normal

Hi Justin,

that is not normal behavior for our cameras. It shouldn't take more than a few seconds after boot up to stabilize the sensor temperature after which you should not see even half a degree in variation.
Please contact one of our service centers to have a look at your camera.
