Lens Data And Premarked discs

Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:34 pm

I was wondering if there was a way to map lens data straight out of a lens and onto a premarked disc? We have been currently shooting on Supreme Primes on a Mini LF and the lens data is great but there seems to be no way to select a premarked disc without manually mapping the lens.

Is this a feature that is planned for an up coming firmware update? If not can it please be implemented? It seems a bit backwards to be able to display and record lens data but not actually be able to easily utilise it when it comes to focus pulling.

Thanks Michael

Hi Michael,
Sorry for the late reply.
Supreme Primes use the Cooke /i Protocol. This protocol does support the transmission of the angle at which the Lens scale is currently sitting (which is necessary for remapping the scale onto a premarked scale). If your lenses do not support this I would suggest getting in contact with the respective Lens service, these particular lenses might need a software update and / or a new calibration.
