Skypanel Uses Too Many Dimmer Channels
Hi -- Is there any way to reduce the number of channels a sky panel uses on my dimmer board? I run the on-set lights from a 24-channel board with sliders so I can adjust lights during the shot. The Skypanels take seven channels, which eats up the whole board pretty fast. I really only need to control intensity and color temperature most of the time. Thanks in advance. Scott

Hi Scott,
If you are looking for fewer DMX channels, there is an option.
In the SkyPanel, go to: Menu --> DMX Settings --> DMX Protocol Ver. --> Version 3.4
Now, if you have DMX mode 2 selected, the DMX footprint would only be 3 channels (Intensity, CCT and Green/Magenta).
Please note that with this DMX protocol version you will not have access to newer DMX modes like gel selection, source matching, lighting effects or x,y coordinates.
I hope this helps and let us know if you need more help.
