Dear Jan Heugel

After how many operating hours will the Arri Digital Camera’s need to have a „service-check-up“?

-Do you at Arri ,offer such kind of a service?
-What work will undergo such a „service-check-up“.
-How do you check the camera-sensor’s of your camera's ? (i do not mean the standard, by eye under a magnifying glass) is there a software(a tool) that can be run?

many thanks
best regards

Hey Juergensen,

ALEXAs are like those Duracell bunnys, they don't have a mandatory yearly service check-up.

It depends on the treatment rather than on the operating hours. But combined with treatment also on the camera's age. In short: consider sending it in after a "Mad Max" production rather than after a 10 sitcoms. If the camera hasn't been in for some time it may benefit since we permanently improove our routines.

Every ARRI Service Center performs these full check-ups: We will do a full functional check-up like we do after manufacturing, all the same criterias apply as they do for new cameras.
The sensor will be dust checked, cleaned and recalibrated if needed.

Kind regards,
Jan
