Hey folks. I've recently been made aware that internal nd's are getting stuck on the alexa 35 frequently enough that rental houses in various markets are telling people to not use them. Just wondering if anyone can corroborate this and if there is any more info on this issue. Would love to know what other folks know! Thanks :)

Hello All,

We haven't had many problems with stuck filter sliders in the ALEXA 35. We followed up on the few incidents that were reported, and have been able to identify a software bug that caused them under very specific circumstances.
This bug has been fixed in the latest ALEXA 35 Software Update Package, SUP 1.0.4. Please download it here: https://www.arri.com/en/technical-servi ... dates-for- cameras/alexa-35-sup-1-0-4

Kind Regards,
Frank

Today we have experienced this problem with Alexa 35 ND filter module error getting stuck in loop trying to shift ND and goes back again and so on.

Unfortunately, there is no ARRI service shop in our country. Now we lost a full day of shoot and no proper way to reach support.

I hope someone here could have an answer to this issue, or how to reach out to ARRI support directly (the distributor who sold us the camera is not in the same country and their customer support have not replied to our emails)
