Hi 5 smart rings and Alexa 35

I’m having an issue with smart rings on a Hi 5 unit where I’ve programmed /mapped the lenses in the hand unit and everything works with the blank smart ring, but when I switch to any of the pre-marked smart rings, the motor throws the lens to infinity and locks. Once the blank ring is replaced, the problem goes away. I re-mapped a lens with a pre-marked ring installed and it works with that ring but the marks do not align. Using w/ Alexa 35 camera and Atlas Orion lenses.

Make sure the lens you are mapping precisely corresponds to the smart ring's stored focal length. Small differences can become problematic.

Try installing a pre-marked ring and precisely recalibrating the lens motor positions. There could be a small difference in the blanks' calibration.
