Hey guys!
We've shoted dark night scene few days ago onAlexa Mini and when check image it in EVF or on Monotor on the set, its looked like ok.
But when i put the files on timeline(or ARRI Ref Tool) they looks way darker. So i have underexpose image now, which is became too gainy when i try to bring it to normal light.
I found Standart and Lifted EVF/Monitor settings in menu(MENU > Monitoring > EVF/Monitor > Settings) and it was set to the Lifted. So it shows me actually wrong gamma - like it was underexposed but it lifted the gamma and i thought that its ok.
So why this setting need?
And what is standart setup for shotting dark scenes? Cause when i change this setting to Standart mode, its show me exactly the same image which i see then on any timeline or just in ARRI Reference Tool.

Thank you!

Dear Raffo,

"lifted" is a legacy function and should be used with care - as your example shows. It is by no means intended to judge exposure, use FALSE COLOR or ZEBRA for this.

The "correct" settings are the one you get after a factory reset.

The ones that satisfy your artistic intention.

Thank you Andreas !

Ive cheked SUP5.4 version and this setting(standart/lifted) is no more available.
But in nyway its looks like EVF/Monitor shows image a little bit brighter than you see it then on timeline or whereever.
Is it ok? Or maybe there is some setting in new SUP 5.4 version that could be adjust that difference?

Regards, Rafig
