I love the much improved BUD-1/BUD-3 system, however I've run into this issue a couple of times now (and I've heard quite a few other people grumbling about it): BUD-1 works well with Alexa35 on gimbal builds, because the battery plate is integrated, so camera can be slid backwards as far as necessary to balance on the gimbal. However with the BUD-3 plate for the Mini LF/Mini, the protrusion that connects to the rear battery clamp part of the cage, costs you a couple of precious inches of balancing space, which can be a huge issue if using heavier lenses, because you can't get the centre of mass far enough backwards.
Is the any chance we'll see a "BUD-4" plate, that removes the rear protrusion?
I don't really want to take a Dremel to the BUD-3 plate if I can avoid it.
