Master Grip Control of ENG Lenses on Alexa 35

I currently have an Alexa 35 with LPL LBUS Mount and LPL-PL Adapter. My Canon ENG Zooms (17-120, 25-250) get full data and power pass through from the mount.

I'm wondering what the easiest way would be to control the zoom axis with a Master Grip. I currently have a MRR-1 which I was hoping would control zoom over a single LBUS cable but the grip says "No Control"

Based on my research it looks like I might need an LCUBE CUB-2 to control the zoom. What does the wiring look like in this case?

LPL Mount - LBUS Cable - CUB-2 - LBUS Cable - MRR-1? And the lens plugged into the CUB-2 Hirose port? What is the 2nd Hirose port on the CUB-2 for? Do I also need a Hirose PL Mount?

Preston makes a cable that goes directly from the Digital Microforce to the Canon 20-pin Hirose on the bottom of the lens. No additional cables or boxes required. I understand that the MRR-1 works on a different protocol than the lens does, but I'm hoping there is a simpler way to control the existing lens motors without a mess of cables on the camera.

Hi, you have two options:

If you use the ARRI PL Mount (Hirose) K2.0042652 there is no CUB-2 needed. It has a built in 12pin Hirose connector,.
If you use this mount, please connect the Servo lens there with Cable K2.0003418. Then connect Master Grip via LBUS port from the camera body.

Or you can use the LPL Mount and Setup you already described, in this case you need to include the CUB-2. (The Hirose mount is not needed in this case)
Connect Cable EMC-1 to Fujinon ZK lenses K2.0003418 and Cable LENS/ENG (12p) K2.0022328 to CUB-2 and your lens. Connect cable from Camera LBUS to Master Grip.
