Hi there, the new custom smart rings, can they be created with any blank ring? Or do they need to be custom blank smart rings? Can they be re-used and/or wiped?

I reached out to our ECS team to confirm:
To create your own Custom Smart Rings, you’ll need the specific Blank Custom Smart Ring: K2.0037463 – Custom Smart Ring Blank (without scale).
These rings contain an integrated EEPROM chip that allows individual lens scales to be stored. Only this specific type of ring is compatible with the custom smart ring feature on the Hi-5.
For your information: the Custom Smart Rings are reusable – the lens file can be erased and reprogrammed if needed.
