Dropped Frames

Reviewing footage from my shoot with the Alexa Mini, I noticed some dropped frames when I shot 60fps, Pro Res 4444. It did it to the first 5 clips on the card only. The first 5 clips were shot at 60FPS second slo-motion in a 23.98 time base. We did shoot slo-motion for some other clips on the card, and it looked fine.

At first I thought it may have been a Premiere issue, but when looking at the footage in Quicktime, it did show the frames missing. I had rented the camera, and the camera house said that when they played the clips back in camera they did not see the problem. I offloaded the entire card directly onto a hard drive via USB 3.0.

The cards were: SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 Memory Cards

Any ideas?

Dear Michael,

If you still have access to the original footage, feel free to upload one of the affected clips to e.g. wetransfer and send us the error description to digitalworkflow@arri.de.

We'll have a look.
Always good to get the camera log-files if you can supply those as well.

Cheers,
jan

Jan,

I do have the footage. Where would I find the error description?

(sorry about the delay - corona forces us to do shoret-time work)

Error description...
That's basically everything you found out so far. Affected clips per card.... A summary similar to what you wrote above.

Cheers,
Jan
