Dear Mike,

these letters correspond to minimal offsets in the lens engraving process from one lens barrel to another. This offsewtt is measured and noted on the lens using these letter-combinations.

For a "real" 3D shoot you want to have a pair of lenses with matching letters to make shure that the lens motors can achieve identical focus settings.
