I read that AML and ALF4 should be done in the new program ARRI Reference Tool.
I figured out how to do how to make a LOOK in ALF4, but the conversion to REC709 occurs according to the ARRI algorithm, which is also not suitable. Is it possible to use the conversion to REC709 according to the ACES standard?
I couldn't figure out how to do AML in ART.
I don't know if what you're wanting is an .AML for a AWG3/ALC3 lut or if you want an ALF4 AWG4/ALC4 lut based on ACES but this is what I did in Davinci Resolve for an .AML file for an AWG3/ALC3 image.

Thanks for your help, but my question is not about the old Alexa.
My question was about Alexa 35.
As far as we figured out, now you can’t load your LUT into the camera with the conversion LogC4 to REC709, for example, based on ACES or TCam.
Only LogC4 to LogC4. To use LUT with conversion to REC709, it is that you will have to use an external lut box, as far as I understand. In general, this is what is written on the ARRI website.
Here is how I would make an AWG4/ALC4 Luts for the Alexa 35. I would use 2 Color Space Tranforms to go to A Color Space that has a lot of programs that allow for color grading in them like ACES AP-1/ACEScct ,Davinci Wide Gamut/Davinci Intermediate or REDWidegamutRGB/Log3G10 Because there are hardly any that allow you to grade AWG4/ALC4 to AWG4/ALC4. Then I leave that Color Space to go back to AWG4/ALC4 with another Color Space Transform.
I used the Color Space Transform to go from AWG4/ALC4 to ACESCCT / ACESCCT so That I would stay entirely in ACES for the IDT and ODT and because there are more Grading/Look Design Program that support ACES IDT and ODT that AWG4/ALC4 IDT and ODT. I use the program Look Designer 2.6.3 to make this look. I then export a 65Cube size Lut out of Look Designer back in the same Node I originally had the Plugin in.

Next I import the 65 cube Lut I exported out of LOOK DESIGNER 2.6.3 back inside of Davinci Resolve in and I replace the LOOK DESIGNER OFX program with the LOKK DESIGNER 65Cube LUT.
Now I "DISABLE" the ARRI AWG4/ALC4 to REC709 Transform LUt and "RIGHT-Click" on the the clip with the grade and export an 65 Cube Size Lut.
Now inside of the "ARRI REFERENCE TOOL"then to the "LOOK" Tab.

You have to add one of the preset ALF4 look to the image so that the "EXPORT LOOK FILE" icon is enabled so that you can create a new look at the end of the process.
Now go to the bottom of the UI to the "COLOR GRADING" area then to "3DLUT" then under the "LOAD 3d LUT TO LOGC4" heading, import the LUT you exported out of Resolve with the "GENERATE LUT" selection with the 3 dots button(...). It shows what the Lut from resolve looks like in the "VIEWER" Window
Finally, go to the "EXPORT LOOK FILE"Icon and save the look as an ALF4 file

Senior Colorist at ARRI, Florian “Utsi” Martin starts explaining how to create a Log to Log look for the Alexa 35 at about the 34:30 minute mark. At the 36:41 minute mark, he creates a 65 cube sized Lut for the Camera and explains that the Alexa 35 can handle a 65cube sized Lut.

Since The RED RedWideGamutRGB/Log3G10 IPP2 and the new ARRI Alexa35 workflows both use LOG to LOG creative Luts with a separate Output Transform Lut for the end Displays, You could use a RED IPP2 Creative LUT inside of a 2 COLOR SPACE TRANSFORMS for the Alexa 35 camera. I won't go through the same step-by-step process above, I'll just show the difference between the two.
To add contrast, I used a "PIVOT" of "0.333" because it is the middle gray point for RWG/LOG3G10 the Color Space I was in in that Node

Here's probably the last example I will give which will use the Davinci Wide Gamut COLOR SPACE to create an ALF4 file from, again I won't go through the complete process as before just the difference between the others. In this Example I will use a DCTL(DaVinci Colorspace Transform Language) which can't be made into a LUT with the "GENERATE LUT" menu Item. You can Use a "HALD" file to record any grading function and then use another program to create a Lut from this HALD file, however I won't show that procedure in this tutorial just the resulting Lut.

Below is the Lut I created from applying the grade from the RAVENGRADE DCTL to a HALD file then using "3DLut Creator Pro to turn that Applied grade from the HALD file into a Lut
I then replace the RAVENGRADE DCTL Grade with the LUT created from the HALD File with 3DLut Creator Pro
Now I keep the RAVENGRADE DCTL GRADE "Disabled" and I also "Disable" the ARRI AWG4/ALC4 to REC709 Transform Lut as well then Export the remaining Node Grades as a Lut to use in the ARRi Reference Tool
This download contains 65 Screengrabs with a PDF explaining Relevant Screengrabs on how to use the Cloud based FYLM.Ai color grading app to create a Lut that could be used to make an ALEXA 35 ALF4 look file with. I thought uploading all of these screengrabs was just too much to upload over 8 or 9 posts
A few Screengrabs to show a rough overview of what the 63 screen grabs will explain much better.

Hi Timo,
currently you're tied to the ARRI Log-to-Colorspace transform in the ALF4 Look FIle.
We're working on an update for custom color space transforms addressing this in a new firmware update.
Cheers,
Jan

Jan,
Will there be a way either in the ARRI Reference Tool or in maybe Updated Transform Lut to reveal( No pun intended) more of the Information in the Highlights?
