Hello. I am currently shooting with an Alexa 35 with the WCU wireless remote follow focus and using CLM motors. In colder temperatures-15 or lower in celsius I am finding that the motor is not calibrating the entire lens properly as well as not working properly. I am shooting with Cooke S4's.
Is it the issue that the lens motor is not strong enough? Or is it not getting enough power from the camera? Are there any options for a workaround? I am powering the camera with the Arri 26V batteries.

Which software versions are you using on the devices?

it is very well possible that such temperatures make the lubrication of both lens and motor a bit "sticky". This may result in calibration not reaching the physical limits of the lens rings. It might be a good idea when planning to shoot in harsh conditions to have both lens and motors serviced.

Additionally you could try to heat the lens/motors using an electric blanket as are available i.e. for fishermen. They can be powered using a USB power bank. And they also serve well to keep you warm when necessary
