AEM-1 Frimware upgrade issue

I'm trying to upgrade the AEM-1 to firmware 1.1G.

When the firmware download unzips there are two files.
PAM.HEX
readme.txt

The module does not recognize the PAM.Hex file as firmware. And frankly I'm not sure what it is. The readme text is pretty random and doesn't seem to be related to the AEM-1

The USB is exfat and the same one I used last time I upgraded the AEM-1. Camera is on 2.0.1.

Has anyone successfully upgrade their AEM-1? Where is the firmware? Thanks.

Dear Jeff,

as per the readme, the USB stick has to be to be formatted in FAT16 or FAT32:

> Copy the file PAM.HEX on an USB key formatted as FAT16 or FAT32 (no exFAT)

Why does it still say it doesn't work when I copy and paste it to a USB drive?

so if you followed the update instructions and you are using a FAT formatted USB stick, I am afraid I cannot be of further help.
