Hi Arri tech team
We noticed an unusual artifact during the shoot with the ALEXA Mini LF: instead of a smooth motion blur, we’re seeing 4 distinct ghosted positions of moving elements within a single frame — visible directly on the monitor during recording, and across the full image (not just moving subjects).
This doesn’t seem to come from post or playback, but rather from the camera itself at record time. We're wondering if it could be caused by a specific internal setting — possibly something like shutter angle pushed too far (360°?), or a frame blending or accumulation mode being unintentionally active.
Do you know if the Mini LF has any built-in motion simulation or temporal blending features that could create this kind of multi-image artifact inside a single recorded frame?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Best,

Dear Nicolas,
please share a still or better a clip of your footage with us: digitalworkflow@arri.de
Which settings were you using? You mentioned a close to 360° shutter, hwat else? FPS? ISO?
Aditionally, where did you shoot and which light soruces were used?
Cheers,
Jan
