Scratch audio into Alexa Mini

What's the consensus on the cleanest way to get scratch audio into the mini?
In the past I've used a minijack button mic. I have a wooden camera a-box but am hoping for a smaller, lighter solution than a camera mounted shotgun mic.
Also regarding the audio, if I feed a mono audio signal into one of the xlr inputs on the a-box, will that work?
I read that the lemo audio in on the mini can only accept a stereo input?

Thanks, I checked it out. The Beachtek is little bulky. Trying to keep as light and streamlined as possible.

In general, what does the stereo mic input mean?
If I use a Wooden Camera A-Box (5 pin Lemo to L & R XLR) can I plug a mono source into one XLR?
For example I have a wireless Sennheiser Lav Mic that I sometimes need to use. Will I be able to record audio?

Thanks,

Dominik
