Has anyone seen this before? Is this a sensor issue or a firmware issue? There is a small magenta circle in the sun and I did not notice it in 90% of my shots because I was in Alaska and the sun is rarely out but looking through the footage every sun shot has it in there. When I apply the LUT it become unnoticeable which is why I think I missed it in the field but wondering what to do next. Please let me know so I can resolve this ASAP.

Hi Ben,
as this was explained to you via email this is for everyone else's benefit.

This is an artifact that can occur when the camera is trying to compensate for what is known as the black sun effect. When digital camera sensors are exposed to a point that is far beyond the clipping point these parts, that you would expect to be pure white, actually are read as pure black. Different manufacturers use different methods of identifying and correcting for this and each can result in different artifacts under certain conditions.
