Corrupt frame - Alexa Mini - Open Gate ARRIRAW

Hi, we are preparing a film and we just finished checking the equipment at the rental house. Today we had an appointment to view the test footage at the post house and we found some crorrupt frames in the middle of one clip.



We were recording on an Alexa Mini Sup 4.0.24, Open Gate Arriraw with Lexar Cfast cards (256GB). The shot was steady, on a tripod. It happened on the first clip of 5 clips recorded on that card. The snapshot has been taken from a Davinci.

Suddenly the image broke into some grey noisy bars in the middle of the frame, the next frame was dropped (missing) and the next the grey bars again, after that everything was fine.

We don´t have any clue on what could have cause it. Anybody has seen anything like that? It could be some kind of issue with the power? It could have happened if the operator held the camera from the batery?

Hi - this looks like a faulty CFast card!

If possible, please send the CFast card and the clip to ARRI service and we will get you a new CFast card in return.

Mi Michael, we sent the card back to the rental house who sent it back to the reseller... They supply us with two more cards and everything works fine.
