I have owned a Mini since May '16, and after having used an Amira about 10 months prior to that (pre 3.2k SUP update), I have noticed what seems, at identical default sharpness and detail settings, a different image aesthetic between the two cameras. The Mini, even when shooting at 2k, seems to my eye sharper, with more surface detail (skin blemishes, etc), than the Amira was.

Below are grabs in 640x320. The differences may be less noticeable in frames this size. Click on the links below each grab to download larger versions.

Alexa Mini and Amira grabs (below) with the same lens set (Super Speeds), similar lighting, Rec709. 3.2k, Pro Res 4444, Sharpness and Detail at default settings. Graded in Resolve for 1920x1080 output.

Amira (below, Pre 3.2k SUP) with the same lens set (Super Speeds), similar lighting, Rec709, 2k, Pro Res 4444, Sharpness and Detail at default settings. Graded in Resolve for 1920x1080 output.

Most noticeable are detail and edge sharpness differences. I do not currently have those lenses in my possession, but should in a week or so. Again, I believe have noticed the increased sharpness even at 2k in the Mini. Do you recommend different settings in the Mini to match the Amira? Is an exact match not possible due to differences in firmware or new processing? I would like to match the smoother aesthetic of the Amira most of the time.

I have added links below each image to the original 1920x1080 file, so the differences between the two cameras can be better seen.
