Hello,
I would like to know if it's possible to customize the false color on the Arri Alexa Mini or any of the Arri cameras. For example, making values between black and mid-grey appear as blue, or having values between pink and yellow appear as another specific chosen color. I often find it challenging to analyze the grey areas of the background or other parts of the image and determine if they are greys from below or above mid-grey.

Hi there,
I'm afraid our False Color's color schema is hard-coded an cannot be edited.
As a workaround you could a) use a monitor with a fasle color that suits your request or b) build a 3D-LUT that does exactly this - color the levels as required. That could be done as a Log-to-Log LUT and made into an AFL2, which you can load as a custom look into ALEX Mini, AMIRA, ALEXA SXT, LF or Mini LF.
Cheers,
Jan
