ProRes and LT

Hi all,
When you switch the recording mode to a ProRes that's smaller than HQ (basic 422 or LT) it gives a warning that there might be artifacts in log footage. Has anyone had bad luck with this? I'm going on a shoot that has some bulky interview times and I'd love to be able to shoot them on LT, and I always shoot log. How serious are these artifacts? In a doc situation it could be very helpful to lighten the load on my cards, but I don't want to have any problems that anyone beyond the craziest pixel peeper would notice.
Cheers
