Record on both cards at a time?

I don't find any information, if it is possible to record on both cards at the same time. For me, it is very important to have the double security from the very beginning. I am seriously interested in an Amira, but I will never buy a camera, where the material is recorded only on one of two cards. Every Canon C300 or Sony FS7 offers this feature...

So it might be possible, that this will come with one of the following firmware updates? Ok.

But before that time, it seems to be sensible to use cards with less space, like 32 or 64 GB, in order to share the risk of data loss. I don't find any Arri-approved CFast2.0 card with 32 or 64 GB. The smallest card has 128 GB. This means for me, the user will be lazy and not change the cards often enough because of the high capacity. And in addition to that, the 128-GB-cards are too expensive.

In order to share the risk, I have to use at least two cards per day. One for the morning and one for the afternoon. I am often on the road for the whole week and do not have the chance to copy material. So I need at least ten cards. In my opinion it is very uneconomic to buy ten 128-GB-cards, when only the first 30 GB are used per card.

Will there be approvals for smaller cards?

We did offer a dual recording feature on he ALEXA Classic, going to SxS, but found out through customer surveys, that the feature was hardly used. The cards are pretty reliable and unless a user wants to recover data after it has been "formatted", which really is a secure erase, there are always means to recover data, even from cards with mechannical damage.

ARRI has very high standards and we do everything we can to find problems so you won't have to. That means we test each supported card model in every supported recording mode with every camera that supports these cards, every time we have a new camera SUP or the card manufacturer introduces changes to the cards. Adding 64 and 32 GB cards creates an exponentially larger test matrix, which is very uneconomic for us. Thus, we have no plan to support smaller cards than the 128 GB CFast 2.0, which are available from SanDisk and Lexar 3600x.

So You promise that I can believe in the data safety of the cards, and that there will not be any data loss at all, so that I can sleep well, even the data is recorded only on one card?
