Alexa Mini SUP 4.2 - 'Hardware upgrades in January'.....

In the release notes for the new SUP 4.2 software release there is a cryptic line about firmware updates for hardware upgrades in January.

Really hoping that this refers to external hardware as I just bought an Alexa Mini and don't want to be out of date so soon....
Anyone have any info? Jan?

Hi Dominik,

we have replaced an electronic component to reduce our failure rate during manufacturing.
So nothing to worry about, your camera will deliver the same performance as more recent Minis.
