WiFi Client Mode?

Not having any luck using the Client Mode for WiFi, Any hints or advice for setting up the WiFi router?

Noted so far:
Open networks not an option?

I have successfully connected laptops to my WiFi access points but the mini always fails to connect?
Seeing the local wifi networks and I'm able to enter the access point passwords.

Are there any limitations on the type of access point and security?

Edit: I'm also using the wired ethernet connection to setup the Alexa Mini, I don't currently have access to a viewfinder or CCP-1, could this cause issues?

Dear Olly,

the client mode on the ALEXA Mini and the AMIRA currently only supports WPA-PSK or open networks.
